Some Facts

A few facts (if I may be so presumptuous as to focus on those):

*15,000 U.S. citizens have now left Lebanon.
20,000 citizens from various EU countries, mainly France and the UK, evacuated.
(I don’t have any numbers for Canadians and Australians probably because most people confused them for Americans and British respectively.)

*On Friday, “96 smaller rockets landed” in northern Israel, the Israeli army said. “One rocket hit the top floor window of the main hospital in the Israeli border town of Nahariya. Not casualties were reported.” Not to make moral equivalences or anything but, on the same day, Israel dropped hundreds of tons of bombs on the densely populated city of Tyre, killing ten people. (AP July 28)

* UN states that one fifth of Lebanese people are homeless.
